Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to exceed revenue goals as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct site inspections throughout property.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.
  • Handle account details so all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
  • Research periodicals, internet, trade journals, and other publications to learn about potential business opportunities.
  • Significant out of town travel to solicit business in feeder cities.
  • Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
  • Represent Hotel at trade shows as specified
  • Set-up exhibits as needed.
  • Attend or host hotel events as required.
  • Audit or assist with client billing as required
  • Type contracts, menus, letters, and reports
  • Assist the support staff with maintenance of sales files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts as scheduled Essential functions of the position must be performed while avoiding potential liability and damage probability to both the hotel’s and guest’s property.
