Job Duties: Plan, design, develop and implement middleware infrastructure technologies. Provide subject matter expertise around specific technologies, as well as project management for the deployment of infrastructure projects. Serve as primary vendor interface for third-tier support for applications and technologies provided and supported by vendors. Identify changes needed in the infrastructure configuration to achieve technology organization goals. Define aggregate demand data in support of budget plans and make recommendations for ways to improve performance and reduce costs. Support infrastructure strategy reviews and development by performing applicable analysis. Implement technology and infrastructure changes for platforms, performance, and scoring. Manage effective issue identification and resolution process. Ensure communication of process and procedure changes to key stakeholders. Design an effective test plan for any new or changed infrastructure technology, and work with Project Managers, QA, Testing Managers and Release Managers to ensure implementation before client takes possession of the system. Maintain contact with the business users to proactively identify needed changes. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Leverage successful products, processes, and best practices across the technology organization. Implement communication and knowledge sharing processes for team members. Assist in evaluating knowledge-sharing tools and making recommendations for standard approaches and tools. Contribute to continuous improvement by leveraging quality improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma. Refine and enhance technology methodologies and standards. Ensure that documentation is captured in a document management system and publicize deliverable location to the organization.

Position fully remote - will have opportunity to work from home from any location in the U.S.

USCCTPMinimum Requirements
Requirements: The position of Middleware Lead Engineerrequires a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Engineering Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Power Administrator, WebSphere Administrator, WebLogic Administrator or Middleware Administrator, or a related position.

Specific Skills or Other Requirements: Additionally, the applicant must have experience in:1) IBM DataPower XML Gateway; 2). Oracle or IBM Middleware Components; 3). XML firewall support; 4). Technical documentation writing; 5). Unix O/S, CI50, XG45, XS40; 6). XSLT, XML and WSDL Coding.
