Job Summary

Join our Biosimilars Division of Fresenius Kabi USA as a Key Account Manager focused on launching our Oncology Biosimilars product portfolio.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for implementing commercial strategies and sales execution by optimizing access, share and profitability by representing, educating, and promoting Fresenius Kabi's Oncology Biosimilars to target accounts and decision makers in a defined geographical area. Responsible for driving the appropriate utilization, and for attaining all territory sales goals and objectives in a compliant manner.

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will manage the business relationships between the Company and assigned accounts with the following goals:

*Negotiate Account contracts and improve formulary access positions while ensuring product access is aligned with product strategy.
*Responsible for acting as the territory/regional contact and manager for Fresenius Kabi USA Oncology Biosimilars.
*Optimize Account Contract Performance and pull through across the Oncology Biosimilar portfolio.
*Ensure proper oversight and compliance with all company policies and exercise appropriate financial stewardship.
*Understand current local market dynamics along with key customer challenges.

*** The territory covers Southern California & Arizona. The ideal candidate will reside in or near one of the following cities: San Diego, Orange County or Phoenix.

Responsibilities

Drive appropriate utilization and attain all territory sales goals and objectives compliantly.
The KAM engages and serves as the primary contact with the following stakeholders:
C-Suite and Key Decision Makers in top assigned accounts.
Operations staff responsible for Infusion Centers and system-wide organizational initiatives.
Clinical Decision Makers in pharmacy and relevant medical specialties within clinics and IDN settings.
Support Fresenius Kabi's National Accounts with area contract pull-through efforts by working closely with account representatives from Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Aggregation Groups, Oncology Community Clinic GPOs, selected IDNs, and Infusion Centers.
Negotiate contracts and improve formulary access positions while ensuring product access is aligned with brand strategy.
Persuasively present GPO product pricing programs to pharmacy and business leadership.
Negotiate customer contracts within strategy, where appropriate.
Communicate MRL approved financial, healthcare economics, and budget impact models.
Works cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders as appropriate to meet the needs of the account. Examples could include Senior Leadership, Marketing, Director Contract Marketing, National Accounts for Biosimilars, Field Reimbursement Team, and Medical Science Liaisons.
Confirms customer contracts are properly loading to provide the appropriate contract pricing to the eligible sites of care.
Communication of approved information to customers Information Technology departments.
Leads account planning and pull-through for assigned accounts.
Manages ongoing communications to extended Team.
Promote assigned products along the continuum of care using approved messages and resources.
Conducts appropriate business reviews of account performance.
Communicate to customers the clinical value proposition for assigned products using approved messages and resources.
Use approved Company resources to meet customer educational needs.
Collaborate, coordinate, and triage customer engagements to Medical Affairs for topics outside of the product PI.
All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required (Business or Science degree preferred).
Minimum 5 years demonstrated pharmaceutical sales and pharmaceutical account management success required.
Oncology experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of biosimilar experience preferred.
Established track record of high performance calling on and managing complex accounts.
Buy & Bill experience, and an understanding of the contracting process.
Demonstrated leadership skills and success working in cross-functional teams.
Excellent business and financial acumen in the external healthcare environment.
Ability to analyze multiple sets of data to inform strategic business decisions.
Knowledge of Acute and Specialty GPOs.
Experience and expertise in calling on Hospitals, IDNs, Community Oncology Clinics/Practices/organizations/affiliations, and Academic Centers.
