Position Details:
Under limited guidance, is responsible for managing Pricing Competitive Intelligence Specialists/Analysts and establishing processes and strategies to increase the quantity and quality of competitive information to support market relevant pricing at the SKU level.

You will report to theDirector, Primary Pricing Strategy.

You Will:

Develop and manage strategies for competitive data collection to support setting primary prices for Grainger's full product assortment.
Collaborate with category pricing team and support standard work pricing by increasing the quantity and quality of competitive information for relevant competitors.
Analyze large competitor datasets to provide senior leadership with competitive intelligence insights & trends.
Collaborate with business partners across Pricing, Merchandising, Private Brand Strategy, and GTG in pursuit of successful project outcomes and overcoming complex business challenges.
Manage several external business partner relationships supporting key business capabilities
Attract, select, coach, and develop Pricing team members to achieve engaging work environment and performance.
Partner with business leaders to anticipate and meet customer needs/requirements while meeting company financial and growth objectives.

You Have:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics with emphasis in business preferred
5+ years' experience in Pricing or similar field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expertise in analytical thinking, data analysis, interpretation, complex problem solving
Superior skills in analytical systems tools such as Excel, SPS, Sequel, etc.
Excellent presentation skills to small and large teams
Strong business understanding
Customer focus
Ability to work in tight timeframes
