If you have a background and proven track record of directly supporting new product launches from start to launch and have lead a team of Design Quality Assurance Engineers and Technicians, this could be your next career move. The NPI Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading a team of Design Quality Assurance Engineers and Technicians in direct support of new product introduction; responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance through leading the application of Design Controls and Risk management through the entire product life cycle (Advanced Development, Product Development, and Product Manufacturing). This role is a key partner to Research Development, Regulatory, Marketing, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Lead for all quality functions that contribute to the product development process and is responsible to provide a high standard of product quality that conforms to global standards and regulatory requirements while ensuring a primary focus on patient safety and reliable product performance. Owns and manages quality discrepancies during the design and development process, and develops scope, disposition, and corrective actions for preventions of discrepancies.

Team Leadership
Leads quality team on product development projects of major magnitude and scope
Lead engineering team on functional deliverables and ensure technical excellence for product or technical development
Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attain career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains high performing staff.
Design (Quality) Assurance
Owns and drive deliverables related to the NPI process: Design Controls, Risk Management, Product Performance, Quality, and Compliance; key partner in all department goals and objectives
Develops and implement quality strategies; seeks innovative approached to attain quality goals
Ensures project quality plans are created to an appropriate level of due diligence and delivered on time.
Enforce project quality plans are followed through the design and product launch phases
Ensure product qualifications are completed on-time
Organize and report on key quality measures.
Participate as a technical leader in problem solving product and process issues.
Organizational Improvement
Support and mentor cross functional teams to ensure sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies are utilized to identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issue through the product life cycle
Be an agent for large scale organizational change to improve in the DFQ/R Areas
Partner with the NPI department to ensure the NPI process is followed for critical projects
Manage project plans in related areas.
Lead cross-functional work groups focused on specific tasks.
Ensure QE is appropriately staffed to ensure timely completion of the technology roadmap
Keep Resource Plans current and aligned with planned activities.

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements
Education
