Molex is seeking a Director of New Product development to lead a global team of customer facing new product development managers and product portfolio managers to develop and implement the strategic launch of High Speed IO connectors, Passive and Active DAC as well as BiPASS solutions for applications supporting 1.6T and beyond. The Director of New product development will act as a focal point for market knowledge, financial performance, forecasts, commercialization, and planning of a broad range of product lines. Talent in this role will make priority decisions between and among product lines in all aspects of the new product development and product lifecycle function.

What You Will Do
Develops and implements strategic product and annual business plans targeting markets, industries, and customers. Identifies customer application trends and technologies. Leads long range product planning and sets priorities among/between lines.
Drives revenue and market share growth of assigned product lines in support of Business Unit objectives. Tracks progress to plan for financial metrics (Revenue, profit, Capital spend, ROCC.)
Leads initiatives supporting profit growth and return on investment for the IO Solutions product segment. Works with the demand planning and manufacturing sites to establish the priority for cost reduction, capacity planning and quality improvement projects. Set's thresholds and provides direction supporting project/product selection and the financial justification process.
Develops initial pricing and cost optimization strategies for new products. Sets prioritization with the procurement and manufacturing sites.
Drives consistent approach to the product development process across all cross functional engineering and project teams, establishing VOC requirements, business case scenarios and leads tactical execution supporting TTM schedule commitments.
Manages multiple NPDM's to develop and implement the strategic direction for assigned product lines in support of business unit goals. Manages new development activity associated with extending and growing the life of assigned product families and prioritizes projects between/among lines.
Assures that product promotion and commercialization plans including sales tools, web-based literature, marketing collection on web, distribution, stocking, training, and sampling are developed and sets direction and priority between and among lines.
Has direct supervisory responsibility for global marketing professionals and their support staff. Plans for necessary training, scheduling workload, evaluating performance of employees. Participates in interviewing and recruitment activities and will recommend or provide input on promotions, salary changes, disciplinary action, etc.
Develops a strategic plan for the direction of product lines and technology needs for the IO solutions segment. Makes tactical and high level strategic decisions working with the General Manager as well as the marketing team. Leads accountability for revenue growth.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or Business or Business-related major.
15+ years' technical product management / marketing / sales experience in electro-mechanical device industry.
5+ years' product management / marketing experience in interconnect industry.
Ability to travel both domestic and international as required.
