Business Development Manager, Sorting & Sourcing

Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.
Job Location: Rosemont, IL
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Identify new recycling growth opportunities in the value chain, focusing on scrap sourcing and sorting positions upstream of the cast house operations.
Mature selected projects and execute in close collaboration with the recycling management and commercial teams.
Identify potential acquisition targets, perform valuation analysis, and participate in teams to pursue acquisition opportunities.
Perform profitability analysis of recycling investment proposals.
Identify and evaluate new opportunities outside the current core positions.
Work with project teams to execute recycling projects, acting as project manager.
Competencies Required:
Strategic and commercial mindset; ability to move projects from analysis to implementation.
Competence in applying quantitative and analytical methods to business opportunities.
Financial acumen and affinity for market trends and opportunities.
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, knowledge of PowerBI and SAP is desirable.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to align stakeholders to a common goal.
Ability to work independently and manage internal and external resources to deliver projects.
Familiarity with matrix organizations and international business operations are both desirable.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, economics or science is required, Master's degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
Minimum of five years' experience in business development, management consulting.
Knowledge of the aluminum or metals industry is desirable.
