Job Summary:

The Institutional Animal Care and use Committee (IACUC) PAM Compliance Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring that the various research compliance activities and programs within IACUC adhere to Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as institutional policy.  The PAM Compliance Analyst supports the IACUC Office through post-approval and for-cause auditing of complex research activities involving animal subjects at the Evanston and Chicago campuses.  This position supports the IACUC Office in ensuring that CCM facilities and laboratory research programs are in compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, and also comply with AAALAC, International recommendations. 

The PAM Compliance Analyst will initiate and apply new procedures as necessary to ensure that the IACUC and the NU Research Community operate at optimum effectiveness and efficiency.  This role also promotes the high ethical standards NU demands in all research protocol and data collection, in order to protect the safety, and welfare of animal research subjects.

The PAM Compliance Analyst will support the OR mission and values of understanding empathy, modeling accountability, ensuring fairness, embracing community, and valuing creativity.

There are occasions when this position will have to travel between buildings and campuses.
