About the Role:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal Cloud Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Cloud Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our hybrid cloud
infrastructure strategy, driving innovation, and providing technical leadership to our organization.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design, implementation, and management of highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for our hybrid cloud infrastructure and applications, aligning it with business objectives.
Design and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines, leveraging automation and orchestration tools to streamline the deployment and testing of cloud-based applications.
Optimize the performance, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud infrastructure through continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement DevOps processes and strategies across the organization.
Act as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and driving innovation in cloud computing and DevOps practices.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
12+ years of experience working as a Staff Cloud Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Extensive expertise and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Deep understanding and experience with containerization technologies.
Proven track record of designing and managing large-scale, highly available cloud infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
Experience with advanced monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points:
Extensive experience with serverless computing, microservices architecture, and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience leading Agile teams.
