Job Description
Job Duties Aon Investments USA, Inc., an Aon company, seeks an Investment Strategist in Chicago, Illinois to conduct financial analysis for investment strategies. Perform quantitative analyses of information involving investment programs and financial data. Analyze financial data to determine business valuation. Contribute data analysis and financial mathematics to inform on financial markets and economies. Develop and apply capital market assumptions and deterministic scenarios (including climate and other ESG risks). Build data visualizations using Excel, VBA, Python, and R. Analyze financial and investment metrics and data for macroeconomics and markets to determine drivers for asset classes. Disseminate views on economic markets through quarterly videos, webinars, and calls with consultants and portfolio managers. Partake in client meetings and training sessions on markets. Develop market commentaries on market backgrounds and medium term investments. Support scenario analysis and assumption setting. Research and determine views on asset classes and U.S. hedging views. Local telecommuting available up to 3 days a week. Annual salary: $103,000 - $145,800.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field plus two years of financial analysis experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Performing quantitative analyses of information involving investment programs and financial data; 2. Developing and applying capital market assumptions and deterministic scenarios (including climate and other ESG risks); 3. Building data visualizations using Excel, VBA, Python, and R; 4. Analyzing financial and investment metrics and data for macroeconomics and markets to determine drivers for asset classes; 5. Developing market commentaries on market backgrounds and medium term investments; and 6. Supporting scenario analysis and assumption setting.
