Job Description

As a TEAMMATE:
Our Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer will set test strategy for product lines, manufacturing, and repair across a diverse medical device portfolio in the sensory system disorder space. You can expect to develop test procedures and equipment for manufacturing and repair, understand manufacturing implications, and work with our manufacturing and repair partners to design and integrate hardware and software in an international environment.
What you'll get to do in this role:
Work in close collaboration with hardware designers and manufacturing/repair partners to develop manufacturing and repair test strategies and parameters for medical diagnostic equipment, including PCBA and electrical functional test
Develop test plans and specifications for medical diagnostic equipment
Develop electronics test hardware and software, either independently or in collaboration with external engineering contractor
Support and troubleshoot test stand issues in manufacturing and at contractors
Evaluate and propose updates and redesigns for existing electronics test equipment
Scope and execute test method validation for manufacturing and repair tests
Create and maintain documentation for release and support of test equipment.
Develop standard test procedures and user manuals to drive test efficiency and product throughput
Perform as the primary technical resource for technicians responsible for running test equipment
Develop experimental techniques necessary to drive product technology development and root cause
Travel: Up to 25% domestic or international travel on a project need basis
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or closely related field
5+ years of experience in electronics or automated test equipment development/machine automation in a heavily regulated environment, preferably medical device
Clear communication skills in English and experience leading global projects
Experience with SW tools with hardware interface, such as LabVIEW (preferred), C or Python.
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, meters, SPI bus analyzer, packet sniffers, emulators, JTAG interface, logic analyzer, function generator, etc.
Proficiency in the Design Control process with knowledge of tracing DHF documents to product requirements including Design Input / Output / Verification / Validation
Desirable: Knowledgeable of FDA, MDR, ISO, IEC 60601, and other relevant regulations and standards.
