The Job at aGlance
Our Distribution Center Transfer Driver (internally known as Car Pool Captain)plays an imperative role on ourdistributioncenter team. Aspart of our Inbound Material Handling team,this person will efficiently load, unload, and transfer materials between multiple Parts Town Distribution Centerlocations.OurDistribution Center Transfer Driver is expected to have attention to detail and accuracy in preparing transfers to ensure they arrive at the destination in good condition. These efforts are a direct reflection of our dedication to exceptional customer service and surpassing their expectations!
A Typical Day
Load/Unload PT box truck to transfer items or materials between locations
Assistmaterial handling team when not transporting between buildings
Continuously maintaining the organization and cleanliness
Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
Additional responsibilities as assigned
To Land This Opportunity
You have a valid Class C Driver License
Youarereliable team-playerwithstrong problem-solvingskills,time management,andpaycloseattention to detail
You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to50lbs unassisted
Experience using hand trucks and electric lifts, is a bonus!
You are able to work a schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (CST) with flexibility as needed.
You're an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal).
