Customer Service Representative I

Job Description

Responsible for the processing of fax and email requests, answering inquires via the 800 and DID lines to assist customers and Sales Representatives with basic product information requests, orders, return authorizations, and any other basic inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works directly with customers to process orders received via telephone, fax or email and assist them with any inquiries.
Answers incoming calls through queue or direct line.
Processes incoming orders under $1,000 via phone.
Receives and enters incoming orders up to $20,000.
Completes follow ups with Sales Representatives, customers & internal personnel on all orders entered, as needed.
Sends order confirmations to customers via email.
Works in conjunction with Stockroom and Shipping departments to determine estimated delivery times or shipping costs and conducts research on any order delivery issues.
Works in conjunction with Technical support to research and recommend replacements items when needed.
Assists Sales Representatives with creating quotes for customers.
Assists with front desk coverage.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year customer service experience required
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Professional friendly disposition, excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills & excellent attention to detail required.
Self-motivator who can perform in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Must be a team player that works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
SAP experience helpful
Beginner PC skills and familiarity with all MS Office Suite products
Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
The following physical demands are required:
Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
