Job Description

Job Summary

Coordinates the operational aspects of packaging lines including changeovers, quality issues, documentation and distribution of resources as needed. Consult with the supervisor as necessary. Project teamwork and positive energy to the assigned crew. Duties may include mechanical set-up and adjustments to various packaging equipment. Working in a safe manner, following all safety policies and completing all Safety Training. Ensure batches are packaged and labeled in accordance with the SOP and batch record instructions.

Responsibilities

Set-up, adjust and operates equipment such as labeler/s, Domino Inkjet Printers, Wolke printers, Shanklin shrink-wrap machines, Tex-Wrap machine, STS heat wrapping machine, tape machines, shipper labelers, Accraply labelers etc.

Responsible for multiple labelers within the packaging department.

Performs and documents critical steps of packaging operation such as line clearance, label verification, product count, final finished goods verification etc.

Responsible for entering the serialization order in the computer system.

Labels and packages product according to packaging batch record instructions. Assesses quality of each component packed and designates components for rework or reject if needed.

High accuracy with alpha-numeric data entry., Performs labeling accountability calculations on batch record.

Complete, legible and accurate documentation.

Loads vials on turntables, assembles print block, stacks products, wraps and moves pallets ofpacked products, place inserts into trays/carton, manually load vials into trays etc.

Must have solid oral and written skills.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Perform all other work assigned duties as required by supervision.

Keep work area and machinery clean.

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for task at hand.

Must always comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Utilize all safety devices.

Report any unsafe work practices or injuries to supervision.

REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or equivalent.

Minimum of one-year experience working in a regulated, cGMP facility, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing is preferred.

Manufacturing experience preferred.

Basic math skills to perform required calculations (multiplication/division).

Good written and oral communication skills.

Strong mechanical skills preferred.

Good computer problem solving skills required.
