Estimated annual base pay: $91,800.00 (minimum) - $114,700.00 (midpoint) - $137,600.00 (maximum)

Woodward is hiring for a Senior Pump Engineer role to support New Product Introduction activities in our Pump & Prop Engineering Department at the Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL. The fuel and oil pump product line is a growing business within Woodward with lots of opportunity for a senior engineer to make their mark. This individual will be responsible for handling complex engineering assignments including independent technical problem solving, working with internal and external customers, providing technical guidance to a broader team, and improving engineering processes. What You Will Be Doing

Handling complex pump engineering tasks with multiple challenging features.

Solving component/system issues independently.

Organizing and managing engineering project phases.

Engaging in and supporting process enhancements through continuous improvement projects.

Assisting sales and development through information sharing and reviews.

Conducting and executing component tests on their own.

Guiding and mentoring junior engineers on technical aspects of projects.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.

4 or more years of experience in a related or similar engineering role or entry level PhD degree is required.

Previous experience as a product design engineer with aircraft fuel or oil pump experience including technology development (physics-based design and modeling tools), new product introduction, or fielded pump production support is strongly desired.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'Green Card holder'), or a protected person (e.g., asylee, or refugee).
