POSITION SUMMARY
This position will recruit and engage eligible students to participate in the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) grant program and will serve as a liaison between Workforce Development, community partners and identified high school district(s). Assists in development and execution of the outreach and recruitment plan to target populations in equity investment eligible communities for CEJA programs. Develop and maintain partnerships with community leaders, community-based organizations and programs to provide and assist eligible individuals in understanding their choices for occupational and career training; provide information and/or direction to individuals, parents, teachers, and administrators about career and educational services available to eligible individuals; develop and monitor program data and reports regarding recruitment and outreach. Provide career guidance and outreach to eligible high school students and adult learners students on careers in clean energy industry sectors in Joliet and surrounding communities. Occasional evening and/or weekend work and local travel required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate all outreach and recruitment efforts within the department; maintain partnerships with high schools and community partners to ensure target populations in equity investment eligible communities enroll in CEJA programs. Support sufficient participant enrollment in CEJA programs to meet grant enrollment and completion performance measures.
2. Work with Clean Jobs Initiative Manager to create an outreach and recruitment plan; implement and execute the strategies within the recruitment plan; suggest improvements and recommendations to the plan. Establish and measure key data points to assess the effectiveness of the plan. Collaborate with CEJA Transition Navigators to meet target recruitment goals.
3. Actively seek out new partnership and maintain liaisons with post-secondary institutions, employers, community leaders and organizations.
4. Participate in a variety of community groups, meetings, workshops, and serve on committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information, and remain knowledgeable of required program guidelines.
5. Coordinate a variety of events and programs (e.g., career assessments, classroom presentations, career fairs, community college visits, teacher and counselor in-services, etc.) to educate the community and potential candidates about careers in clean energy industry sectors and support a smooth transition to CEJA training programs.
6. Interview CEJA program applicants and determine eligibility for assistance according to grant rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of records. Support applicants in understanding and completing application and enrollment requirements. Collect documentation and prepare participant files for Workforce Development Coordinator(s).
