Position Summary

The Licensing and Compliance Administrator is responsible for maintaining and tracking various entity and personnel licenses, staying abreast of industry practices, state regulations, carrier procedures, and providing support to the Compliance Manager in driving Hub’s compliance initiatives. The Licensing Coordinator will play a key role in reviewing and completing agency and producer contracting, determining any gaps in licensing needs and will need to ensure accurate processing on state and carrier levels.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an independent, positive, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt well to change.

Responsibilities

1) Provide M&A Integration support to the Central Region teams:

+ Act as an intermediary between the Seller and carrier partners.

+ Work closely with CMO to identify priority contracting arrangements for Seller and Hub International.

+ Facilitate any contract adjustments for Seller while paying heed to contingency / GSC arrangements and payment specifications.

+ Coordinate any carrier portal adjustments.

+ Provide a seamless and positive end user experience for Sellers and their customers.

2) Aid the Surplus Lines Compliance Specialist with special projects and overflow requests:

+ Review each policy to determine branch / profit center origin and assigning the correct SL producer to the case.

+ Confirm that the correct profit center / branch code screen has been set up in Epic.

+ Review state filing requirements at each request.

+ Share state-required forms with requestors.

+ Follow up on documents.

+ Attach all fully executed documents to EPIC and notify the Surplus Lines Tax Filer for filing.

+ Create state logins for SL licensees, if applicable.

+ Associate or affiliate individuals with Hub International Midwest Limited licenses and logins, if applicable

3) Assist the Director of Licensing and Compliance with Projects:

+ Renew agency licenses.

+ Apply for new agency licenses.

+ Director / Officer updates with states.

+ DRLP updates with states.

+ Producer reassignment or transfers.

+ Address updates.

+ Licensing policy and broker standards audits.

Qualifications

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

+ Must be able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency and have excellent customer service skills

+ Strong desire to learn and foster a community of compliance

+ Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data

+ Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, and procedures

+ Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently

+ Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude

+ Two years’ work experience in the insurance industry preferred

+ Life & Health and/or Property & Casualty Insurance license preferred or the ability to attain applicable insurance licensing

Education

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ 1-2 years of work experience

+ Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Ability to run with minimal details

+ Comfortable working at a fast-paced startup environment where change is frequent
