Job Description

AECOM/Hunt has a need for an experienced Assistant Construction Project Manager for our ongoing construction project in Chicago, IL.

+ Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.

+ Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor.

+ Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.

+ May interface with design team.

+ May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.

+ May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.

+ Assists with and monitors change orders

+ May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting

+ Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.

+ Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate

+ Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed

+ May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

+ BS Construction Management and 2 years of relevant construction engineering/project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

+ 2+ years of experience in the field of construction.

+ Experience from a large general contractor.

+ Experience with CMAR (construction manager at risk)

+ Familiarity with construction documentation such as change orders, RFI’s, submittals, logistics, punch list, etc.

+ OSHA 30

+ Proficiency in Procore

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Additional Information

+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.

+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

+ This position is not hybrid nor remote.

+ In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client’s security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,222.96 – $129,912.47.
