Schedule: Monday-Friday *Hours to be specified

Status: Full Time (Exempt)

Compensation: $57,000

$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period

Summary/Objective

The Help Desk Technician assists the IT Supervisor in providing advanced technical assistance to the company’s end users, including hardware/software troubleshooting, laptop/desktop installations, and end-user education. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining computer systems, ensuring efficient workflow throughout the entire organization.

Essential Functions

+ Systems Analysis and Design:

+ Analyzes user needs and develops functional specifications for new systems.

+ Designs, develops, and implements computer systems and applications based on user requirements.

+ Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to improve efficiency and performance.

+ Software Development and Maintenance:

+ Develops, tests, and modifies software programs to meet business needs.

+ Creates and maintains documentation for software programs and systems.

+ Collaborates with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of new systems.

+ Network and Infrastructure Management:

+ Designs and oversees the implementation of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

+ Monitors and maintains network performance, troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.

+ Ensures the security and integrity of the network through proper configuration and management of security systems.

+ Project Management:

+ Leads IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

+ Coordinates with other departments to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business goals.

+ Manages project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

+ Training and Support:

+ Provides advanced training and support for end-users on various software applications and IT best practices.

+ Develops and updates IT documentation, including user manuals and standard operating procedures.

+ Stays current with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.

This position does not have Supervisory duties.

Work Environment

This job is fully onsite. May require availability of on-call support outside regular business hours.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role, and the employee must be comfortable with sitting in front of a computer for an extended period.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday (hours to be specified). Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel may be expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

+ A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

+ A minimum of three to five years of related work experience in systems analysis, software development, or network management.

Preferred Education and Experience

+ Professional certifications such as A+, Security+, Network+, or relevant vendor certifications.

+ Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, ticketing systems, Net gate/Pfsense, Extreme CloudIQ, G-Suite, security systems including access control and camera surveillance, iOS, wireless networking, computer imaging, and experience with MDM solutions like Android Enterprise.

+ Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
