As the Sr. Instrumentation Engineer, you will use your knowledge of electrical engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world’s most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell’s next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products/ processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Apply prescriptive methodology to project tasks

- Collaborate with engineering teams

- Perform specification review

- Exchange task level information

- Communicate non-compliance incidents

- Prepare or update reports and documentation

- Use computer-assisted equipment

- Execute project tasks

- Identify areas for technical improvement

YOU MUST HAVE:

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

-3+ years of experience generating requisitions for various types of Instrumentation equipment such as Transmitters, Control Valves and Gauges

-1 year of experience with Hazardous Area Design

WE VALUE:

-Experience designing and requisitioning instrumentation equipment

-Incorporate applicable Hazardous codes and customer requirements in order to produce a complete technical definition of the equipment.

-Assumes the secondary/primary liaison role with various outside suppliers and customers

-Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process

-Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements.

-Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project.

-Visit shops for kickoff meetings and critical inspections points

-Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for Instrument equipment.

-Knowledge of applicable NEC, European, Other Countries code UOP standards for Electrical equipment.

-Familiarity with 3-D Model Design, Conduit/Tray Routing, Mechanical Support and Installation Details
