Job Description

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the manufacturing industry, based in Lombard, Illinois, United States. This role involves handling a high volume of inbound customer calls, providing excellent customer service, and managing customer complaints with a focus on de-escalation.

Responsibilities:

- Handle approximately 80 inbound customer calls per day, with no outbound calls required.

- De-escalate upset customers who are calling to complain and provide them with accurate information.

- Provide exceptional customer service to each caller, understanding that they may be confused or upset about receiving a ticket.

- Utilize your customer service and call center experience to manage each call efficiently and professionally.

- Inform customers about the reason they are receiving a ticket and reassure them that the initial contact is generally a warning, not a collection attempt.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the company’s database.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient customer service process.

- Keep up-to-date with all company policies and procedures related to customer service and adhere to them in all interactions.

- Continuously strive to improve the customer experience, making suggestions for improvements where necessary.

- Remain patient and professional at all times, remembering that customers may not fully understand the ticketing process. Requirements – Possess strong customer service skills

- Experience in a call center environment is required

- Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and billing questions with professionalism and patience

- Proven ability to build rapport with customers and ensure their needs are met

- Must be familiar with customer service principles and practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive team environment

- Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as CRM software and MS Office

- Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure

- Flexibility to work in shifts as required by the manufacturing industry

- High school diploma or equivalent is required

- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
