Robert Half is hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contractual role in East Moline. This position is key to ensuring minimal disruption to workflow and may aid in critical automation projects. Candidates with a flair for maintaining high standards of operation, knowledge of accounts payable procedures, and a keen interest in working in a fast-paced, diverse working environment could be a great match for this engagement.

Responsibilities:

+ Processing and verifying invoices, gaining necessary approvals, and running batches of checks and statements.

+ Handling a high volume of invoices from multiple sources.

+ Contributing to automation efforts within the Accounts Payable division.

+ Misc. tasks such as stuffing envelopes, data entry, etc.

Working hours: Mon-Fri, typically 8a-5p or similar. The contract’s duration is expected to last through the end of the year. The candidate has to be able to work independently, following training, displaying a high degree of individual management skills and initiative. 2+ years of accounts payable experience

Associates degree or higher is value

Experience in an accounts payable role, specifically in a high volume setting with standard operating procedures.

Capability to work independently and show initiative post-training.

Prior experience in the Transportation and/or Logistics industry is valued.
