Job Description

Description We are looking for a diligent and experienced Paralegal to join our team in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. The primary function of this role is to assist in the area of commercial litigation and e-discovery, serving as an integral part of our legal team.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing the full lifecycle of commercial litigation cases

- Provide comprehensive support in e-discovery, including the collection, processing, and reviewing of electronically stored information

- Prepare and maintain accurate legal documents pertaining to commercial litigation

- Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for trials, hearings, and meetings

- Organize and manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence

- Conduct legal research and factual investigation

- Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation materials

- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, court appearances, and trial

- Communicate with clients, witnesses, court officials, and other parties involved in the case

- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain awareness of any changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company or its industry. Requirements – Must hold a bachelor’s degree in law or related field.

- Previous experience in a paralegal role is preferred.

- Working knowledge of commercial litigation is essential.

- Proficiency in legal research databases and legal case management software.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Must possess analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

- Proven ability to work in a team and independently.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
