Job Summary:

In this role as a Procurement Solutions Professional, you will be the business process owner for the PROcure Contract module. PROcure is a multi-year program that will reshape how our direct material buyers, category managers, and other functional support resources manage processes, collaborate, create insights, and drive business value – all in one fully integrated system built on a strategic data platform. The Contract module within PROcure is a searchable, integrated safe global repository to author, maintain, and analyze 10s of thousands of procurement contracts. This application puts every contract in one place, with embedded compliance, a mechanized approval process, all using pre-approved templates.

Business Process Owners are the customer face of PROcure to enterprise procurement teams and ultimately own their process, end user adoption, and ongoing process improvements. They partner with the Digital Product Owner to support end-user questions, evaluate new offerings or change requests, and implement continuous improvements. In addition, you will provide refresher training and maintain process-specific documentation such as frequently asked questions, process maps, training & digital adoption content while providing input and managing customer facing communication.

As a member of the Digital Supply & Procurement team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture.

What You Will Do:

- Serve as the lead process owner for the PROcure Contracts module, which includes collecting customer requirements, gaining business process alignment, defining detailed functional requirements, testing and quality assurance.

- Develop workflows & process related documents ensuring the delivery of a world-class customer experience based on customer value maximization and waste elimination

- Partner closely with SPPD Product leads & external parties to effectively communicate requirements and align on a development & enhancement roadmap

- Work directly with a wide range of Caterpillar’s Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) team members, enterprise representatives, and procurement vertical teams

- Provide customer support and resolution including refresh trainings and end-user support

- Maintain process documentation including FAQs, training, process maps, etc.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Data Analytics:

- Collects required data through various data sources and documents them for evaluating trends and activities.

- Researches business-related data, analyzes, interprets, and presents findings to management.

- Recognizes and assesses problems, opportunities, and methods for improving existing business performance.

- Utilizes designated data analysis software to analyze the data.

- Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.

- Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

- Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work. Able to present to a large audience and is comfortable being recorded

- Has a strong understanding of supplier relationship management through practical experience

- Has experience with supplier contract negotiations

The location for this position is Mossville, IL

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position may require up to 10% travel
