Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 10 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution and sourcing, operations, or a related function.

+ Experience in the Food Category, with a focus on supplier relationship management and cost optimization.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Experience in developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure category performance and track progress towards strategic goals.

+ Experience in executing sourcing strategies, RFx processes, negotiations, contracting best practices, and supplier evaluations within designated categories, with a track record of achieving cost savings and value creation.

+ Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements, and innovation within procurement activities and drive continuous improvement and enhance category management practices.

+ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead strategic projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation within the category.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Category Management team partners closely with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies. The Category Team is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.

In this role, you will be responsible for pioneering innovative category and sourcing strategies, cultivating strategic supplier relationships, and optimizing spend categories through data-driven insights to unlock value for Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$234,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories, including Food, Transportation, Fitness and other workplace services offered at Google.

+ Build multi-year procurement roadmap for led categories helping drive supply base optimization, risk reduction, improved supplier performance, and savings.

+ Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. Represent Procurement Organization in key business reviews (QBR/EBR).

+ Execute sourcing strategies, Request for anything (RFx) processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within designated categories.

+ Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities within the category to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
