Job Description

Job Title: Structural Engineer

As a Structural Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager and Principal, collaborating with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP project members to ensure project success. Your main responsibilities will include developing structural design calculations, conducting structural analysis and research, creating specifications and drawings, and applying relevant building codes such as ACI, AISC, and IBC. Additionally, you may assist with site visits and contribute to structural research and analysis reports under the guidance of the Lead Structural Engineer.

Job Description:

+ Will be reporting to the Lead PM and Principal on projects

+ Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural and MEP project members to complete project

+ Will develop structural design calculations, structural analysis/research, specifications and structural drawings

+ Apply ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components

+ May assist with site visits with reviewing testing/inspection/field reports

+ Will be working with Lead Structural Engineer to provide structural research/analysis reports

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or equivalent is required

+ Masters in Structural Engineering highly preferred

+ Must have EIT and on track towards PE; SE is a plus

+ 5 or more years of post-graduate structural experience

+ Post graduate=NOT internship experience

+ Experience working on parking structures is preferred; Commercial, healthcare, industrial, utilities is transferrable

+ Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD knowledge is required

+ Knowledge of ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines

+ Experience/knowledge of the structural design of concrete including precast, conventional and post-tensioned cast-in-place, structural steel and masonry

+ Experience with wind/seismic analysis, spread footing and deep and shallow retention walls
