Job Description

The Associate Director, Marketing Systems Excellence, Workfront is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the Adobe Workfront platform which is a pivotal system in AbbVie’s Content Supply Chain Technology Stack. This role also oversees the associated business support team. As the Business System Owner (BSO), they are accountable for all aspects of the system and its governance, which underpins how AbbVie gets content developed and deployed in-market.

The individual in this role will partner closely with AbbVie’s Digital Lab in furtherance of their operating model and AbbVie’s Content Velocity goals. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and analytical skills, be able to influence and motivate stakeholders in a matrix environment and have strong organizational change management experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of how AbbVie brings content to market and to drive efficiencies using technology and processes.

This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to come to our Mettawa, Illinois office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

+ Drive the Workfront platform strategy for all internal and external users, including the development and oversight of associated governance bodies

+ Accountable for the operating model for the Content Development Process, a key portion of AbbVie’s Content Supply Chain

+ Directly responsible for the development and ongoing prioritization of the Workfront Strategic Platform Roadmap

+ Execute and influence effective collaboration in alignment of future releases to meet AbbVie business needs

+ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and lead associated initiatives

+ US Therapeutics and Global Core SME for Adobe Workfront and the Content Development Process as part of the broader Content Supply Chain

+ Annual project volume of over 15,000 projects (emails, websites, banner ads, social, print, etc.) and ~45 individual review teams

+ Responsible for technical and operating model support for all initiatives relative to the Content Supply Chain with Adobe Workfront implications

+ Develop necessary operating and support model recommendations in collaboration with AbbVie’s Digital Lab Channel Teams and internal agencies

+ Adobe Workfront Integration Lead for all future integrations/migrations related to M&A

+ Co-Manage Enhancement Management with AbbVie BTS Platform Lead

+ Drive the platform management strategy, including technical change requests, LMIC’s and enhancements. Directly oversee the US enhancement budget annually.

+ Lead operations strategy inclusive of the operations process, embracing design, planning, communication, performance improvement.

+ Lead US Commercial Contact for Adobe Workfront and AbbVie License Management

Qualifications

+ B.A./B.S./Business, Communications or Advertising (MBA not required, but desirable) or equivalent business experience within related industry.

+ 8+ years of experience in project or program management.

+ 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or advertising

+ Proven leadership competencies to include setting vision and strategy, building teams, knowing the business, driving for results, and encouraging open exchange of ideas and knowledge.

+ Strong, proven management experience across multiple functions including management of exempt personnel in fast-paced, service/team environment.

+ Highly motivated change agent that can drive business-focused solutions.

+ Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to distill highly complex requirements into compelling business objectives.

+ Strong problem-solving abilities in complex, compliance regulated environment.

+ Pharmaceutical industry experience required.
