Group Benefits Analytic Consulting is seeking an innovative Sr. Business Consultant to support customer insights for a large hospital association. This highly visible role will provide Absence Management trend analyses to both individual member hospitals, as well as block analyses for the overall hospital association. Success in this role will require exceptional communication skills, experience with exploratory data analysis, and a strong consulting acumen to help refine the key business questions posed by varying stakeholders. This role will interact with a multitude of business customers including HR professionals, executives, brokers, and a wide variety of personnel at all levels across The Hartford’s Group Benefits and Claims organizations. This role can have a hybrid or remote work arrangement. Candidates who live within 25 miles of one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Responsibilities:

+ Develop storyboards and presentations on analytic insights, presenting these findings and recommendations to key stakeholders (internal and external)

+ Create and follow a strategic plan to meet customer deliverables, including individual hospital analyses, as well as broader data and analytics initiatives on topics of interest to the hospital association

+ Possess or develop subject matter expertise on standard absence management KPIs and industry benchmarking

+ Lead the development of advanced claim monitoring metrics for customer-specific reporting, including deep dive analysis into emerging trends to derive new business insights

+ Tell a story that inspires action, ask questions that spark growth among everyone you engage, and nurture an untiring, inquisitive nature that compels you, and others, to follow the data

Qualifications:

+ Strong data and analytics skillset with demonstrated results

+ BI skillset with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or equivalent experience

+ SQL experience advantageous, but not required

+ Experience in Group Benefits with a strong understanding of Leave and Disability products preferred

+ Excellent discovery skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional technical requirements

+ Documented track record of creating innovative data-driven solutions and a passion for delivering outcomes

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work without direction, multitask, and adjust priorities when necessary

+ Current on emerging health trends and industry research

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$88,150 – $132,225
