Job Description:

As a part of Digital Acceptance, the Relationship Manager will develop new and existing partnerships throughout the digital enabler segment. These relationships bridge the gap between legacy payment experiences and new solution providers that solve critical business issues. Key focus areas include semiconductor manufacturers, chip technology providers and key players in the transportation vertical, such as: transit, micro-mobility, in-vehicle payments, EV charging, etc. These enablers span the digital commerce experience, encompassing functions such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Smart City and more.

The role will primarily focus on Tier II and Tier III partner types. As a part of these efforts, the role will also manage projects that require industry collaboration, gathering customer insights, ensuring ongoing adherence to risk and compliance requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: driving transaction volume growth and market-share improvement, ensuring consistent implementation of Discover value-added products, assisting with strategic initiatives and marketing programs to broaden the DGN acceptance footprint.

What You’ll Do

+ Lead the acquiring, business development, and client management efforts for enablement partners.

+ Establish relationships with enablement partners to maximize transaction volume growth and market share.

+ Ensure the implementation of company’s value-added products.

+ Execute on strategic initiatives and marketing programs to support broadening the acceptance footprint.

+ Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You’ll Do It

+ Partner internally and externally to identify, develop and implement new business opportunities.

+ Ensure enablement partners accept network cards and that they include all appropriate company products in their offerings.

+ Present and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to increase transactions, grow market share, and improve merchant stated awareness.

+ Implement and support operational initiatives. Ensure compliance with the network’s change release processes, compliance, and business practices.

+ Provide coaching and guidance to team members.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field

+ 4+ years of experience in Sales/Relationship Management, Business Development, Strategy, Operations, Project Management, or related field

+ In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Sales/Relationship Management, Business Development, Strategy, Operations, Project Management, or related field

Bonus Points If You Have

+ Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field

+ 6+ years of experience in Sales/Relationship Management, Business Development, Strategy, Operations, Project Management, or related field

+ Payment Services experience/familiarity

+ Strong Project Management skills

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
