Job Title: Operator Trainee
Job Description
We are seeking dynamic candidates for our production team with opportunities in machine operating, grinder operating, quality control, material handling, CNC, and more. The primary role will be operating a machine that processes powder carbon into small rings. Other responsibilities include operating a grinding machine to grind down pieces to the right size, performing quality checks, doing offsets on the machines to ensure parts are produced to spec, and visually inspecting the rings for imperfections. This role also involves stacking the rings into a large bucket and moving the bucket into a furnace where the rings will solidify for 5 days. Additionally, the role includes operating lapper machines and monitoring progress. This position can be repetitive and might be less engaging for those used to operating multiple machines simultaneously.

This is a fully on-site position in Crystal Lake, IL, Illinois.
Work Environment
We have openings on the 2nd shift. Shift hours are 3pm-11pm M-F. We also offer part-time work on Saturdays and Sundays. Training is provided from 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment can get a bit hot depending on the weather, and time of day. We are primarily producing carbon-based rings so it can be a bit dirty. However, we provide uniforms along with daily laundry service for a minimal fee. Applicants should be able to read/write English, provide a GED or diploma, and be willing to submit to a drug test and background check.
