Cabinet Maker -214411

at Aerotek in Cahokia, Illinois, United States

Job Description

Job Title: Cabinet Maker

Job Description

As a Cabinet Maker, you will be tasked with receiving unfinished cabinets from the fabrication group to verify fit in the airplane. Once confirmed, you will disassemble the cabinet and send it to the finishing group. After receiving the cabinet back, you will reassemble it while integrating avionics and/or plumbing within the structure. You will find work assignments in the SmartTeam program and transfer that work into the Catia 3D modeling system for installation. You will fabricate complex, high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using both stationary and handheld tools. This role requires coordination with supervision to ensure compliance with customer-approved design samples and adherence to safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Additionally, you will utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work. The role may also involve leading responsibilities, mentoring lesser-skilled technicians, overseeing projects, conducting safety audits, and coordinating with other backshops.
