Position Overview
We are currently seeking a OB Technician for our Delivery Room:
Location: Evanston Hospital
Hours Full Time 36 hours
Shift: 1900-0730, with weekend rotation

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Assist the R.N. in direct patient care and other activities which are essential to unit functioning. The OBT functions as a member of the unit staff under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager or designated staff nurse.
Perform scrub tech duties, will assist in maintaining supplies and equipment, on occasion may perform clerical duties, and will promote general neatness and safety on the unit.
Assist in assembling and dispersing to sterile field supplies, instruments and equipment required for the surgical procedure
Sets up supplies and instruments in preparation for procedure
Assist in draping of the operative site
Anticipate needs and passes instruments, suture, sponges and supplies to the operative team as dictated by surgeons' preference, technique, procedure, and special requirements
Under supervision of designated shift supervisor and medical staff. Guidelines include all departmental, personnel, and hospital policies and procedures. Ages of patient served includes: adult age groups, adolescents, and newborns.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
BLS/CPR certification required
Good standing on the IDPH Nurse Aide Registry required
Nursing Assistant Certification by the State of Illinois and in good standing on the IDPH healthcare worker registry, or a minimum of 1 Clinical Rotation in Nursing School
