For our Ammeraal Beltech and AMMEGA Operations team, we are currently looking for an Accounting Manager
SUMMARY: Will oversee all facets of Accounts Payable operations, Fixed Assets, Use Tax and 1099 Tax Preparation process. Drive financial transparency through detailed reporting and assist in budget forecasting. Cultivate strong vendor relationships and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency and compliance, driving financial integrity and achieving organizational goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervise the Accounts Payable team in processing invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and timely. Review and approve vendor payments and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Resolve issues related to vendor inquiries, discrepancies, and payment delays.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations. Ensure proper classification of fixed assets and compliance with accounting standards. Coordinate with departments to verify asset information and conduct periodic physical asset verifications.
Manage use tax reporting and compliance requirements. Ensure accurate calculation and remittance of use tax liabilities. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations related to use tax.
Oversee the preparation and issuance of Form 1099 for vendors and contractors. Ensure timely filing with appropriate tax authorities and compliance with IRS regulations. Address inquiries and discrepancies related to Form 1099 reporting.
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and schedules. Provide financial analysis and insights related to Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Use Tax, and 1099 reporting.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices and internal controls to mitigate risks and improve accuracy.
Mentor and develop AP staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance. CPA certification preferred but not required.
Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting roles with a focus on Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Use Tax, and 1099 tax preparation.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations, particularly related to use tax and Form 1099 reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NAV,M365) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
