Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8am-5pm CT
What work will you perform?
Landstar System is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee a group, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations while fostering growth and excellence. This role involves managing all aspects of team oversight, addressing challenges, and driving ongoing enhancements. Key responsibilities include tracking performance indicators, refining operational procedures, and fostering collaboration across departments to uphold Landstar's reputation for exceptional service. Availability for occasional travel and readiness for 24/7 on-call responsibilities are crucial. If you're prepared to lead your team to success and maintain organizational values, consider applying.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Train and develop Coordinators to enhance service levels.
* Monitor task execution to ensure adherence to procedures.
* Resolve escalated issues with personnel, capacity, agents, customers, and employees.
* Lead initiatives with 3rd party load board vendors.
* Track S.M.A.R.T goals for Coordinators and align on performance measures with management.
* Manage phone systems and department email for consistent coverage.
* Compile and distribute monthly metrics and departmental statistics.
* Identify opportunities to improve service trends for Agents, Capacity, and Customers.
* Collaborate closely with other Landstar departments, setting a positive example.
* Assist in developing and implementing departmental processes.
* Organize and lead monthly staff meetings.
* Analyze reports to identify trends on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Support specific accounts, agents, or projects as needed, potentially involving travel.
* Achieve Supervisory S.M.A.R.T. goals as outlined.
* Maintain accurate administration of employee files.
* Available for occasional travel.
* On-call 24/7 for emergencies.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
* One year experience of customer service in office environment.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
* Associate Degree or Vocational Training
* Transportation Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Good typing skills, 35+WPM
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze and implement projects to meet customer needs
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
