SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Plan and purchase material need for products timely and cost effectively. Arrange transportation for the shipment of our products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Supplier selection and managementPurchase materials cost effectively to control product cost
Effective problem resolution with suppliers
Purchase materials timely to control inventory cost
Direct the shipping of our products
Create and maintain key metrics for supplier performance

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum - Associate's Degree with 2+ years' experience in Purchasing field;
Bachelor preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Listen and communicate with Civacon employees (office and shop floor) and
Suppliers daily. Communicate with vendors on a continual basis.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must have the ability to figure least cost scenarios, inventory costing, and MRP
Planning. Add, subtract, multiply, divide, conversions, ratios
REASONING ABILITY:
Understand blueprints to communicate with Engineering and Suppliers
Make decisions on price and quantity issues as related to inventory and product
cost
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to learn ISO work instructions, Apex certification preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sit, stand, walk, talk, write, lift, and work with hands
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office and shop floor - inside
