Position Summary

The IT Technical Associate (Desktop/Entra Engineer Support) at UI Health is a key contributor to maintaining and enhancing the organization's technology infrastructure. This role demands proficiency in Directory Services, IAM, Microsoft Entra, Security, Collaboration Tools, and Endpoint Management. The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to continuous learning and improvement to support UI Health's evolving technological needs effectively.

Directory Services and IAM:

Manage Active Directory, including replication and group policies.
Maintain Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure) for user provisioning and security.
Security:

Enroll devices in Defender for Endpoint.
Handle threat detections.
Manage compliance using Purview.
Collaboration and Content Management:

Administer Microsoft Teams, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Ensure smooth messaging, external access, and application deployment.
User Data Access:

Monitor OneDrive usage.
Implement security controls and backups.
Desktop and Endpoint Management:

Configure Intune for Android, Windows, and iOS.
Manage profiles, applications, and deployment.
Technology Advancement:

Stay informed about industry updates.
Monitor social media for relevant news.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree - Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, related information management field or a clinical area of study.
Minimum of one (1) year professional level IT experience within Systems Administration & Operations which includes demonstrated experience in architecture, configuration, planning, development, installation, maintenance, of enterprise computer and software systems mission critical hardware and infrastructure

This position requires Illinois residency within 180 days of the hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of client-server technology.
Experience in client-server environments focused on building, configuring, and maintaining large-scale IT systems.
