Summary:

The welder will perform pipeline construction, repairs, hydrotesting and in-service welding per API 1104 requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
Performs welding, welder helper support, safety support, and manual labor support for in-house pipeline construction crew.
Responds to all emergency incidents.
Performs repairs on equipment, valves, pipelines and appurtenances.
Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of facilities, surrounding work areas, office, assigned vehicle, and team equipment.
Must successfully complete skill verifications for all required duties.
Accurately maintains records for required state and federal regulations and company procedures.
Participates in all team administrative duties.
Utilizes computers, computer programs, e-mail and cell phones for internal and external functions.
Actively participates in team activities such as cost forecasting, operational and project planning, scheduling, problem resolution, work prioritization, time management, decision-making, vendor and material procurement.
Performs work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

 

 


Required education:
High school diploma or GED
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
Level B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills:
ASME Stainless welding.
AWS/CWI is desirable.
Hydrostatic testing experience.
Experience in pipeline operation and maintenance.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Driving, walking, standing frequently.
Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Must live within 40 miles of the work location
Frequent overnight travel will be required
