Job Description

Leads the lab quality effort to insure continuous improvement of quality results. Provides leadership for the introduction and implementation of new formulas, technology, quality tools and manufacturing processes. Investigates problem batches to discern root cause and develop solution.
Additional Information:
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm


Supervise & coordinate quality assurance staff.
Train new & existing quality assurance personnel.
Trouble shoot & resolves Quality Assurance dept. problems & quality related production problems.
Compile & analyze data.
Revise formulas based on QA data i.e. off mill spec, cycle time.
Input revisions into Formula II.
Control rework material both out of spec product, end run material & return goods.
Coordinate ISO certification.
Write, help write, edit etc. procedure for facility procedure manual, and coordinate corrective action.
Acts as a primary point of contact for state lab inspectors and tracks batches requiring inspection through the electronic batch records system.
Audit Plant Operations for conformance to Quality Standards and Identify Continuous Improvement Projects.
Perform the necessary data collection and analysis to support the implementation of new equipment processes.
Responsible for monthly bacteria sampling and coordinating the response to failures.
Supports the ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems
Places non-conforming material on hold as needed
Utilizes appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products
Maintains sites training records and updates training matrix.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
At least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have you completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Operations function
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry or at least two (2) years of experience working in a quality control laboratory
At least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
Prior work experience using timekeeping and/or quality control systems
