Position Summary: 

The Corporate Credit Analyst supports the commercial lending function of Foresight Financial Group and its affiliate banks, through analysis of financial information to support the bank’s credit approval process and management of the credit portfolio. The Credit Analyst works closely with relationship managers, credit personnel, and management at the bank to document repayment capacity for all borrower types. This documentation includes written loan proposals for discussion in loan committees, as well as other financial analysis as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assist FFG affiliate banks in preparing written analysis for new commercial loan applications, with documentation of borrowers’ financial strengths and weaknesses. The analysis will include an assessment of the borrower’s cash flow, liquidity, leverage, collateral, guarantor support, and industry.
  2. Gather information on current and prospective borrowers through inquiries and investigations with trade suppliers, financial institutions, professional firms or individuals, and in-house information.
  3. Input financial statements into a financial software application and analyze reports produced by the application.
  4. Timely preparation of loan proposals and financial analysis.
  5. Accurate analysis of financial data.
  6. Active participation in loan committees and credit meetings.
  7. Complete understanding and application of loan policies and lending directives.
  8. Management of the supported bank’s renewal and annual review pipelines.
  9. Credit portfolio management activities as determined by bank and credit management.

Accounting: General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Capacity for assessing and interpreting numerical data, and describing effectively in narrative format.

Project Management: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes

Communicator: Effective written and oral communication skills.

Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills including the ability to address situations by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.

Technical: Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).  Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulations.

Collaboration/Interpersonal: Strong ability to collaborate with subsidiary bank management and functional groups.  Interact with others positively and build relationships with internal and external customers.

Meet underwriting completion deadlines as established by Service Level Agreements between Foresight Financial Group and its affiliate banks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or relevant banking experience.
