Schedule/Location:
This is a "flex" position with work from home days along with onsite days based at our Lake Forest corporate office.
Local Northern IL/Southeastern WI candidates only!
What you'll do:
As an Assistant Manager Collections, you'll plan, oversee, and lead a team of employees to meet financial goals of the organization, including functional and individual objectives. Coach, mentor, and develop staff and serve as point of contact for issues regarding daily activities and expectations. You will also collaborate with Collections Leadership and communicate emerging trends.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the Collections leadership in various areas as needed, such as delinquency tracking, report analysis and staff performance.
Generating and reviewing delinquency and productivity reports. Ensuring team is following all applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines.
Assisting in monitoring and ensuring coaching is occurring for quality control and audit findings; implement mitigating steps in place to avoid future issues.
Acting as lead for member escalations in the absence of management. Serving as the first point of contact for employees. Promoting team development and member resolution through CCU'S core values.
Overseeing late-stage delinquent portfolio to assure necessary steps have been completed to submit for charge off, dispose of collateral, and monitor vendor performance. In addition, oversight of high-stage delinquency including monitoring progress and providing guidance to collectors.
Leading a team to meet objectives and goals. This will include training new hires in collaboration with Senior Collections Team; providing career development planning and opportunities; responsible for staffing, performance, discipline, and problem resolution.
What we're looking for:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years' experience in Collections, Loss Mitigation, Risk Management, Issue Resolution or Related - Minimum
1+ years' experience in People management - preferred
Excellent problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
Outstanding leadership and management skills, a true passion for service, high-level of patience, tact, superior judgment, and excellent communication skills are necessary
Thrives on being helpful, positive, acting with integrity, dependable, great attitude, natural ability to develop relationships, and embracing inclusion and diversity
Flexibility to work roughly 40-45 hours/week between the following hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 am-5:00 pm
