The Integrated Pediatric Therapies (IPT) department works as a team with the children birth through adolescence who have disabilities and delay, working to grow independence and help children reach their greatest potential. There may be opportunity to work with adults participating in other intellectual and developmental disability programs within JCFS Chicago. The IPT team is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to work directly with individuals and groups and to provide consultation. This Speech-Language Pathologist will provide services at clinics in Northbrook and Chicago (West Rogers Park) as well as in client's homes and daycare or school settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs the full range of clinical duties, including the gathering and analysis of data, formulation of treatment plans, and implementation of the intervention for routine and complex cases.
Performs assessments of each client using information provided, standardized tools and/or analysis of clinical observation.
Formulates understanding of clients' needs, including the family, providing appropriate services with supervisory consultation.
Performs record keeping functions and other administrative duties as required by the Agency.
Participates in agency staff development programs and professional group seminars or conferences to increase professional knowledge and to report on own work.
Collaborates with other agency personnel, supervisor, appropriate specialists or consultants on specific case related problems.
Evaluation and diagnosis of client's identified with speech/language impairments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association; CFY candidates will be reviewed.
IL state license in Speech-Language Pathology
Early Intervention Credential in Speech-Language Pathology
Must have access to a reliable vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area, as this position requires site visits to locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation

Compensation: The minimum compensation for this position is 65,750 annually.
