Position Summary
The position requires experience with computers and the ability to quickly navigate within an Imaging software system (knowledge of the software is not necessary, but the ability to learn new software is important). This position prepares documents for scanning and scans in accordance with end-user specifications, removing extraneous material, and repairing documents as necessary. This position completes projects according to work plans to meet timelines, reports progress in a timely manner, and maintains personal production records. Responsibilities include document pickup, document prepping, scanning and indexing of documents and other office duties as assigned.


Prepares documents for scanning removing extraneous material and repairing documents as necessary
Assembles documents accurately, collating material, and checking for completeness and copy quality
Scans documents by utilizing various types of hard copy paper scanners
Prepares documents for scanning and scans documents to create electronic images in accordance with established procedures
Performs image enhancement of documents to ensure documents are legible in the electronic database
Checks accuracy of data scanned against source documents for errors or misread documents
Performs validation of documents in the image repository to ensure quality and eliminate errors
Indexes and validates documents into a central location for future retrieval
Searches data base records for proper student and account information to ensure correct indexing
Verifies input against a source record to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and usability of information entered during the indexing process
Performs clerical activities associated with the duties such as sorting, filing, carton labeling and document retrieval for basic information requests
Returns and/or pickups scanning documents from offices as necessary
Logs job production activities
Logs time information for all activities to assist with billing
Completes assignments according to work plans to meet project timelines
Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong typing and data entry skills
Ability to learn and navigate new software
Ability to work independently as well as communicate effectively with a team of staff members
Attention to details and organizational skills

 

Physical Demands
Ability to lift and move containers up to 60 lbs
Ability to sit for extended periods of time while performing repetitive duties
