We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Credit & Collections Manager in Western Suburbs of Illinois. In this role, you will be a key figure in managing credit management and client collections processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal team members regarding credit and collections functions
- Process new client applications and build credit files
- Recommend credit limits based on credit reviews and updates to credit files as necessary
- Spearhead sustained improvements in the collections process, including account reconciliation, management of past-due invoices, and handling deductions such as chargebacks and returns
- Assist with the uploading of invoices to client web-based portals
- Process consolidated invoices for key clients
- Run month-end aging reports for finance and provide advice on the required allowance for doubtful account reserves
- Undertake other project work as required
- Manage the credit and collections process, developing strong relationships with clients and working closely with the sales team.
RequirementsYour Key Qualities and Skills
? Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is preferred.
? At least 5 to 7 years of related experience. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Strong organizational and time management abilities.
? Attention to detail and accuracy.
? Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
? Experience using business, ERP software. Oracle NetSuite experience preferred.
? Knowledge of sales tax and credit card processing software.
? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
