Senior Manager Strategic Corporate Finance

Job Description

This role is HYRBID, 3 days a week on-site at the Chicago or Northbrook, IL Office

+ Act as a key financial decision support leader for CEO and leadership team on shareholder value creation activities. Includes development of board and CEO level presentations.

+ Development of UL intrinsic value financial model including long range financial targets, cash flow, balance sheet modeling. Support organization in quantification of financial levers and how they impact value creation.

+ Cost of capital determination for consolidated, segment, costumer operating units, and acquisitions.

+ Close partnership and collaboration with the investor relations function including providing financial content, synthesizing, and evaluating external research analyst information.

+ Financial support for strategic enterprise-wide projects (i.e. margin expansion initiatives, capital prioritization, etc.).

+ Responsible for systems and processes to support cash flow forecasting and value-based management (including Oracle EPM).

+ University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline plus generally 7-10 years directly related experience within area of expertise. MBA preferred.

+ 3+ of experience in equity research, investment banking, or similar role.

+ Demonstrated ability in financial modeling and valuation methodologies. Ability to think from an external investor lens as well as an internal operator perspective.

+ Strong understanding of capital market and familiarity with capital market tools (CapIQ, FactSet, etc.)

+ Self-starter and comfort with ambiguity and working with tight deadlines.

+ Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to synthesize data to extract insights and communicate with senior leaders.
