Job Description

Description We are in search of a Property Administrator to join our team in the non-profit industry in Chicago, Illinois. As a Property Administrator, you will be involved in the management of housing properties, focusing on occupancy and subsidies. You will play a crucial role in serving mentally ill and physically disabled individuals and preventing evictions. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Manage housing properties, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance.

- Utilize knowledge of HUD and other housing subsidy programs.

- Serve as a liaison between our organization and the residents, including individuals with mental and physical disabilities.

- Handle escalated problems with a focus on preventing evictions.

- Process and maintain accurate records of customer applications and lease documents.

- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with housing standards and regulations.

- Utilize in-house software for data entry and management of customer records.

- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to cater to our diverse customer base.

- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

- Compile necessary documents for property management and customer service functions. Requirements – Proficiency in Spanish language and translation

- Experience in data entry tasks

- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to compile and organize documents effectively

- Familiarity with lease documents and their administration

- Experience in conducting property inspections

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Knowledge of non-profit sector is an advantage

- Ability to work independently and in a team

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High level of integrity and dependability

- Knowledge of property management software is a plus.
