JOB OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position Title: Secure Choice Manager Division: Financial Products

Classification: Exempt

Location: Chicago or Springfield

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Secure Choice Manager is responsible for providing administrative, operational, and communications support to the Illinois Secure Choice retirement savings program, with a specific focus on improving employer compliance rates through direct employer outreach and support. Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Provides administrative support to the Executive Director and Deputy Director for ongoing program implementation.

+ Reaches out to and engages with employers that have recently registered for the program to ensure that they have the information and support they need to complete the onboarding process.

+ Advances compliance efforts, including conducting research and communicating directly with noncompliant employers.

+ Supports and augments education and awareness campaigns for newly eligible employers, including developing and refining program communications and presentations.

+ Sources testimonial candidates and potential site visit hosts.

+ Serves as point person with the internal Salesforce team for development, implementation, and usage of the platform.

+ Manages the program’s wish list for product enhancements.

+ As needed, evaluates special exemption requests received from employers.

+ Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably related to the duties enumerated above.

Specific Skills:

+ Self-starter with the ability to take direction, and then manage and bring projects to completion in a timely manner.

+ Exemplary written, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and apply conclusions to projects.

+ Experience maintaining effective, positive working relationships with all levels of staff and the general public.

+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and related applications.

+ Familiarity with state-administered retirement programs or qualified retirement plans is a plus.

+ Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, communications, and/or public policy, or related field; five (5) or more years of experience in an analytical, project management, business development, relationship management, or outreach/marketing role; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
