Purpose of Role

Solutions Architects (SA) provide a bridge between specific business opportunities and the technology solutions which are needed to support them. They require a knowledge of the Enterprise Architecture, as one of their roles is to ensure compliance with the Enterprise Architecture in the project.

SA roles are mostly project facing and provide two areas of support:

+ With a business focus, ensuring the solution meets with the business requirements.

+ With an enterprise focus ensuring that the enterprise requirements for reuse, compliance to standards, principles, traceability to enterprise reference models, and alignment with the target enterprise architecture vision.

As a Senior Manager, Solution Architect of Marketing Technology at Under Armour, you will work closely with business and Global Technology leaders and will lead the design, development, and implementation of new solutions within the Marketing space including Email Marketing, Customer Service and Customer Data Platform. You will manage and maintain applications within your portfolio and provide leadership and oversight during the full lifecycle to ensure the deliverables meet the business requirements, meet high standards of quality and adherence to architectural standards. In addition, the Senior Manager, SA is responsible for managing a team of both direct and indirect reports including Developer/Engineers, Leads and Analysts, partnering with business process owners and our Global Tech organization to drive business case development, delivery, and end to end execution against strategic and business unit projects and supporting cross functional squads using agile methodology and frameworks.

Your Impact

Drives Technologies Responsible for Marketing and Consumer Engagement:

+ Leads teams in the design, development, implementation, and support of the global Customer Data Platform, Email Marketing and Personalization and Customer Service technology platforms

+ Directly drives impacts to revenue and consumer brand impressions by enabling seamless consumer emails, marketing and personalization campaigns experiences and customer service; either through direct development of capabilities or through supporting other initiatives that require touchpoints with platforms

+ Support active projects and agile squads throughout the lifecycle, providing oversight and guidance on development objects and configuration (inclusive of Journey Builder, Ad Studio, Interaction Studio, etc.) to ensure efficiency and consistency with original design as well as overall quality of deliverables

+ Oversees the technical design and architectural framework for Under Armour’s Customer Data, Email Marketing and Customer Service technologies and stays current on market trends and product roadmaps of technology platforms to keep Under Armour in front of new capabilities and consumer expectations

Builds Talent and Provides Team Leadership:

+ Attracts, retains, and develops top talent to build a world class team and provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team of business analysts and developers

+ Attracts, retains, and develops top talent to build a world class team

+ Selects, onboards, and manages performance of distributed team of internal teammates and external vendors including planning, capacity, resource allocation and delivery

Collaborates Across Global Teams:

+ Manages a direct relationship with key stakeholders including regional product teams and regional revenue teams to ensure their goals are supported through consumer engagement initiatives

+ Collaborates in brainstorming, designing, architecting, and implementing new solutions and code development, as well as suggesting tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance, capabilities, and reliability

Ensures Efficient and Reliable Operations:

+ Directs the development and maintenance of operational procedures for global Customer Data Platform, Email Marketing and Personalization and Customer Service technologies and infrastructure activities and develops and manages annual budgets as well as project budgets driven within area

+ Owns all interactions with internal and external auditors regarding Consumer Engagement security and data privacy

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree + 10 years’ experience in technical or business management field with ecommerce, retail, and omni business processes; may be a mixture of business management and technology experience

+ Master’s degree or MBA Degree + 8 years in technical or business management field

+ 5+ years’ experience acting as a manager, team lead, project lead, or some other position of leadership and responsibility greater than individual performer is required

+ 5+ Years’ experience hands on working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Salesforce Service Cloud or other packaged marketing solutions

+ Proven experience with the analysis of complex business and/or systems/technical requirements or issues and the ability to develop innovative solutions.

+ Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

+ Proven experience working as part of a global team is preferred

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines

+ Must be a self-starter, proactive, and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision

+ Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various consumer, technical and business issues

+ Exceptional team leader, and team player with excellent interpersonal skills

+ Critical program management and project oversight

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts in business terms

+ Proven experience in working and integrating with APIs and 3rd Party systems integrations (SOAP/REST)

Travel : Occasional Travel to UA offices and/or conferences, etc. should be expected

Licenses/Certifications: ITIL certifications are a plus; SFMC certifications are a plus

Base Compensation

$159,634.00 – $219,497.30 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
