Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure business is undergoing transformation and our customers are migrating rapidly towards using cloud services, and we need expert architects to help us in migrating systems to modern cloud-based solutions.

As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for researching and recommending specific cloud services, systems, applications, data, or process designs for large or sophisticated cloud infrastructure solutions. You will be reviewing current state architectures and recommending future state architectures and help customers migrate rapidly. Join us!!

About the role:

+ Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to craft, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems.

+ Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.

+ Align with individual Sales Teams to find opportunities you will help progress to closure and increase consumption.

+ Help educate and position OCI (Why OCI, Sales or Consumption Plays, etc).

+ Deliver OCI demos showcasing basic OCI functions such as provisioning users/groups, creating roles, VCNs, spinning up Compute instances and launching DB instances

+ Understand how to apply reference architectures specific to the customers business need and use cases.

+ Leverage existing whitepapers, blogs and technical documents to craft solutions that address customer technical and business requirements

+ Can communicate (written and presentations) ideas, data and plans within the team.

+ Strong customer focus with good soft skills.

About you:

+ Full stack development or architecture experience of high performing, scalable cloud applications using various cloud development stacks.

+ Proven experience in building solution using Oracle Cloud or a comparable platform.

+ Deep skills in OCI Cloud (or a comparable cloud) Services, in particular Networking, Identity and Access Management, Compute, Database, Load Balancer and Storage solutions.

+ Good understanding and experience working with containerization (Kubernetes based)

+ Deep understanding of the best design and software engineering practices – design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, standard processes for security, privacy, identity protection.

+ Basic knowledge of Analytics and middleware solutions in cloud

+ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

+ Experience with Security, Privacy, Identity concepts. Knowledge of Azure AD is a plus.

+ Outstanding communication & presentation skills.

+ Experience working with Data assets such as MDM, ADW and Data Lake is a plus

+ Experience working with Exadata Cloud Services (ExaDB-C@C, ExaB-DI) is a plus

+ Ability to explain sophisticated ideas in simple terms for all levels of organization

+ Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience

+ Experience working with a distributed team

+ Have a good sense of humor, live our values, and ability to form connections with the people you work with

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

+ 5 years of Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Native development, or similar technology or meaningful experience

+ 5 years of experience working with sales teams on technology·

Qualifications:

+ Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field

+ 6+ years of experience with architectural patterns, building APIs, microservices, event streams, and high efficiency systems

+ 5+ years building cloud native architectures, architecting enterprise applications on public cloud platforms and cloud ecosystems including OCI, AWS, GCP or Azure

+ 6+ years architecting highly scalable and reliable back-end systems in production

+ 2+ years experience demonstrating DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, and Python

+ AI / ML and Generative AI experience a plus

Responsibilities

Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively craft and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to capture requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Crafts and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acuity.

US: Hiring Range: from $95,000 to $165,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
