The ISR & Space Systems business is looking for a Principal Industrial Engineer/Continuous Improvement Lead at their Rockford , IL location. Position will work primarily onsite. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

As the site lead, you will drive C ustomer O riented R esults and E xcellence (CORE) Manage implementation and continuity.

What You Will Do

+ Apply industrial engineering techniques and concepts to improve schedule performance and productivity, minimize cost, and improve first-time quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts

+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams in operations, engineering, quality and supply chain to identify, quantify and implement improvement projects

+ Conduct machine and labor capacity analysis and develop plans to manage and improve

+ Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and establish methods to maximize utilization of production facilities and personnel

+ Improve and implement new processes and standards that will support achievement of functional results

+ Identifies new techniques and technological developments for integration into production processes

+ Develop and recommend facility and equipment layouts and investments to meet product delivery and cost targets

+ Drives engagement/project closure and ensure results are being achieved.

+ Assist with the implementation of CORE Methods & Tools

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

+ Experience working in the aerospace industry

+ CORE, LEAN, ACE or Lean/6 Sigma experience

+ Site lead or project manager experience

+ Efficient and effective in managing cost reduction and CORE projects

+ Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization

+ SAP experience is preferred

+ Software / data science & analytics (SQL, Tableau, etc.) experience is preferred

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD – 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
