Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Supply Chain Quality Engineer, Make Processes to be located at one of the following locations: Raynham, MA; Cornelia, GA; Athens, GA; San Angelo, TX; San Lorenzo, PR; Añasco, PR; Jacksonville, FL; Juarez, MX and/or São José dos Campos, Brazil, or J&J MedTech home office location in any of the countries in the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico, or Brazil.

The Supply Chain Quality Engineer (SCQE), Make Processes, is responsible for the ownership (creation, maintenance, and optimization) of Make Processes (Test, inspection, and release, Production and in-process controls, Process validation and qualification, Stop shipment, Certificate of Analysis, etc.) across Johnson & Johnson MedTech. Also, use Process Excellence (PEx) tools and Quality Engineering methodologies to advance Make and other Quality process improvement and optimization efforts across the MedTech Supply Chain. The SCQE, manage and routinely report improvement program status to stakeholders, including progress, financial status, and target attainment. Also, leverage talents in collaborating with franchise Supply Chain Quality, Operations, R&D, in implementing solutions and improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Make Process ownership (creation, maintenance, and optimization) to ensure compliance with FDA and ISO standards for medical devices.

+ Analyze existing processes and systems to identify areas of improvement in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

+ Find opportunities to optimize existing Make procedures and processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

+ Evaluates the need to develop/implement new Make Processes across J&J MedTech based on stakeholder insights and feedback

+ Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, process performance, customer feedback, and non-conformances to identify trends and areas for improvement.

+ Apply quality tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), and root cause analysis to drive process improvement.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and action plans for continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Plan, coordinate, and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, resource allocation, and performance targets.

+ Work closely with stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers, to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into improvement initiatives.

+ Track the progress of improvement initiatives, measure their impact on quality and operational performance, and provide recommendations for further enhancements.

+ Train and support employees on continuous improvement concepts, tools, and techniques to develop a culture of ongoing improvement within the organization.

+ Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate improvement findings, recommendations, and outcomes to management and relevant stakeholders.

+ Stay on top of industry best practices related to purchasing controls, emerging quality technologies, and regulatory requirements to continuously enhance the organization’s quality processes.

Qualifications

Education:

+ University/Bachelors or equivalent degree in Engineering or relevant scientific/technical field is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

+ A minimum of four to six (4-6) years related work experience.

+ Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives with cross-functional, diverse, global teams using PEx/Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

+ Experience with Quality and Supply Chain processes in the regulated healthcare industry.

+ Experience with developing innovative approaches to Quality challenges in a fast-paced, changing global environment.

+ Demonstrated experience in effective project management.

+ Proficient technical writing skills.

+ Strong communication and change management skills

+ Capable of building strong partnerships across segments & regions, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition

+ Ability to coach talent on Quality Engineering principles and practices

Other:

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

+ Fluent spoken & written English is required.

+ Certified PEx Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.

+ This position may require a 30% to 40% of domestic travel.
